I don’t feelany older, but I sure AM!  Mommy and Daddy even threw me a Birthday Party at the park and invited my little friends to come play.  I even got to eat cake!  Yummmmy!  It’s so much fun to eat too, ‘cuz it gets all over you and then you can put it all over Mommy & Daddy!  hehehe!

Man, birthdays are SO much fun…you also get GIFTS!  I got so many great gifts!  My friends really know what I like ‘cuz everyone got me something that I absolutely LOVE!  Thanks everybody!

Summer is so much fun!  I started Mommy & Me swim lessons and it is a blast!  I am definitely a California boy!  I just love the water…whether it is my bath, my little blow up pool out back or the real pool with mommy and daddy!  And man, my hair just keeps getting lighter and lighter!  It must be that California sun I’m spending so much time in!  Everyone always asks where I got my blond hair from ‘cuz you know both of my parents have pretty dark hair.  I think I got it because Daddy had blond hair when he was my age and also my Dida (Indian word for Grandma) had blond hair when she was growing up.  Oh well, I don’t know where it came from, God just must have thought it would be cool to give me blond hair…and you know what?  It is cool with me!

Tyson’s Adventures continue…the Koedel’s go to Boston!

We are just back from a great family (+ a little work) trip to Boston…a first for all of us!  Mommy had a meeting to go to and Daddy and I didn’t want to be without her (or maybe it was the other way around) so we picked up and went with her, added on a couple of days and made a “vacay” out of it!

We went to Fenway “Paaaack” and saw the Red Sox play…that place is like Disneyland (or at least that’s what Mommy and Daddy kept saying)!  Everyone sitting around us was wicked nice and kept playing with me!  We also walked just about everywhere you can in the city, some highlights were: The Freedom Trail, Boston Commons, The Public Gardens…boy my legs were tired!  Me (Tyson) and Daddy even went to a Boston Celtics playoff game while Mommy was at her meeting…that was an adventure for Daddy (hehe)!  Daddy thinks Boston has the best sports fans of any city (although he’s not a fan of the teams – and wanted to be sure I pointed that out to everyone).  I got a kick out of everyone’s accents and was a very good boy on the plane and at the hotel because I loved just about every minute of the trip!

Tune in next time for more Adventures of Tyson!

Tyson took his first steps on his own this month!  April 4th to be exact!  We are so proud of our little mover!  I mean he’s not “walking” per say…not ready for any trips around the block or anything…but he has made it almost 10 steps on his own.  He has been walking with assistance, holding a hand or 2, for a while now, but one day, he was just cruising around the furniture and without a hand in sight he just let go and decided to go get his toy across the room.  This is just 1 more exciting moment we’ve had with him in the last 8 months!  We are reminded everyday how blessed we are.  Read the post below to hear about the last 8 months!

Well, it only took 8 months, but we’ve finally created a blog to update everyone on what’s going on with our little Tyson!   Here is a recap of the last 8 months from Tyson’s point of view (don’t worry, our posts won’t usually be this long…we just had to make up for lost time this first go round!):

  • Birth: I was born on July 30, 2007 in Laguna Beach, into the hands of our wonderful midwife, Lisa!  I was 7lbs, 13oz and 21 3/4 inches long.  I had an ocean-view room with lots of friends dropping by…can’t ask for more than that!
  • 1 Months: Tummy Time and the livin’s easy!
  • 2 Months: Smiles and Babbling
  • 3 Months: Rolly Polly!  I rolled over for the first time at the park with my buddy Gavin that teaches me lots of cool tricks!  This month Mommy went back to work and I had my first airplane trip…to San Jose (little did I know there’d be a lot more of that to come).
  • 4 Months: This was an eventful month!  I’m a travelin’ man!!  I took another trip to San Jose, but this time by train!  Then Mommy, Daddy and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Tennessee for my first Thanksgiving!  I had fun with their dogs Issy and Mimi!  After that it was off to Buffalo, New York for Mommy’s work again!  It was really cold there and I saw snow for the first time!

  • 5 Months: Sittin’ Pretty!  I learned to sit by myself this month and I really like it!  I also had my first Christmas!  My Uncle Ravi came home from school and I got to spend some time with him which was fun!  Then came the not-so-fun part of this month…Mommy and Daddy noticed that I was always real itchy and my breathing wasn’t so good.  They took me to the doctor and found out that I have excema, asthma and am allergic to eggs (so when my nursing Mommy was eating eggs, I was getting real red and itchy all over!).  It’s okay though ‘cuz now i just take my medicine and breathing treatment every day and Mommy stays away from those nasty eggs and I’m fine!
  • 6 Months: Arrrr, Teeth!  These 2 white things just popped through my gums!  Crazy!  I got baptised this month, which was very special…Grandma and Grandpa even came in town to see it!  Then it was back on the road!  First, it was back to San Jose, I’m gettin’ used to this!  Then, we went to Tampa, Florida, which had this great, big ocean all around!  We saw the Geise’s, our friends from home who were there too!  How funny!  On our way home, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa’a again in Tennessee which was super fun!
  • 7 Months: CRAWLING!  Wow, this is so much fun!  I figured out that I can MOVE by myself and I love it!!!
